Wobble Wheels
A physics driving game: get your wobbly car over hills, jumps, plank bridges and seesaws, and land on your wheels.
About Wobble Wheels
Wobble Wheels is a side-view physics driving game you play straight in your browser. You get one small car with bouncy suspension, two pedals and a finish flag somewhere down the road. Between you and the flag are hills, jumps, plank bridges, seesaws, moving platforms, crates and swinging wrecking balls. Every bump is simulated, so the car pitches, bounces and tips just as a real lightweight buggy would, and the same move never plays out quite the same way twice when you change your speed.
The controls are as simple as they get. Hold the gas pedal to drive forward and hold the brake to slow down or reverse. The skill is in what you do in the air. Holding gas while airborne tips the car's nose up, and holding brake tips it down, so after every jump you have a second or two to line the wheels up with the ground before you land. Land on your wheels and you keep rolling. Land on the driver's helmet and the run is over. Fall into a pit, the river or the lava and it is over too, but a fresh attempt is one tap or one press of R away, and most levels take less than half a minute.
There are fifty hand-built levels spread over five worlds. The green meadow teaches the basics with gentle hills, short hops and your first canyon leap. The desert adds loose crates you can push or drive over, rolling sand dunes and seesaws that tip under your weight. The snow world is slippery, with sagging plank bridges and tunnels whose ceilings are lined with icicles, so a jump that is too big ends against the roof. The junkyard brings moving platforms and lifts that you have to time, plus wrecking balls swinging across the road. The volcano world puts everything together over a lake of lava, ending with a long climb called The Summit.
Each level awards up to three stars. One star is for reaching the flag, two for a quick run and three for beating the par time shown after you finish. Par times are set from a fast, clean drive through the level, so three stars usually means keeping your speed up through the tricky parts rather than taking big risks. Gold coins float along every road, often in the arc of a good jump. Coins you collect are banked when you cross the finish line, and each coin only pays once, so going back for the ones you missed is worth it.
Coins buy new vehicles in the garage. The Buggy you start with is a light all-rounder. The Monster Truck has huge soft wheels that roll over crates and bumps but is heavy in the air. The Racer is the fastest car in the game, with low suspension that prefers flat landings. The Tractor is slow, but its giant back wheel grips steep slopes and steps. The six-wheeled Moon Rover floats through the air and has the best air control of all. Every level can be finished with the starting Buggy, and switching cars is often the easiest way past a level that keeps beating you.
Wobble Wheels is made for phones as much as for computers. On a touchscreen two large pedals sit in the bottom corners, one for each thumb. On a computer you drive with the arrow keys or A and D. The game is light enough to start in a couple of seconds on a mobile connection, needs no download, account or sign-up, and saves your stars, coins and garage automatically in your browser. It is free to play, with an occasional short ad between levels on our own site.

How to play
- Hold the right pedal (or → / D) to drive forward. Hold the left pedal (or ← / A) to brake, then reverse.
- Reach the checkered finish banner at the end of each level.
- In the air, gas tips the nose up and brake tips it down. Use them to land on all wheels.

Controls
Desktop
- → or D (also ↑ or W): gas
- ← or A (also ↓ or S): brake and reverse
- In the air: gas tips the nose up, brake tips it down
- R: restart the level
- Esc or P: pause
- Enter: continue on menus
Phone and tablet
- Hold the right pedal to drive
- Hold the left pedal to brake and reverse
- In the air, the pedals tilt the car
- Tap the circular arrow at the top right to restart
Tips and strategy
- Let go of the gas as soon as you leave a ramp. Holding it in the air keeps tipping the car backwards.
- Tap rather than hold in the air: small corrections are easier to control than long presses.
- Try to land with the car tilted the same way as the slope you are landing on.
- Slow down before seesaws and let them tip down before you drive off the far end.
- On plank bridges keep a steady speed. Stopping in the middle lets the bridge sag and bounce.
- If a level keeps flipping you, try the Monster Truck or the Moon Rover from the garage.
Frequently asked questions
Is Wobble Wheels free?
Yes. Wobble Wheels is free to play in your browser, with nothing to download and no account to create.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. On touchscreens it shows two big pedals for your thumbs. It plays best with the phone turned sideways, but it works in portrait too.
How do I flip the car back over in the air?
Use the pedals while you are airborne. Gas rotates the car backwards (nose up) and brake rotates it forwards (nose down). Short taps give you the most control.
How are stars awarded?
Finishing a level gives one star. Finishing within 40% of the par time gives two, and matching the par time gives three. The par time for three stars is shown after each finish.
Is my progress saved?
Your unlocked levels, stars, best times, coins and vehicles are saved automatically in your browser on this device. Clearing your browser's site data resets them.
I'm stuck on a level. What can I do?
Every level can be finished with the starting Buggy, but a different vehicle from the garage often makes it easier. On fdzgames.com you can also watch an optional ad to skip a level.
